| CULTURE HOUSE |

| An old two-storey house of the century XVIII shelters since March of 2004 the Culture House of Paraty. With a project of R$2.1 millions of reais designed by Mayor´s Office in partnership with Eletronuclear, the Roberto Marinho Foundation and Rede Globo, the Culture House has permanent exposition , planned by theater director Bia Lessa, with pieces about paratiense routine, computers with History about Paraty and some hints for tourists, auditorium for 180 people, bookstore, space for expositions and workmanship store. |

| MUSEUM OF SACRED ART |

| Located at the back part of Santa Rita Church, this museum was founded in 1973 and it is administered by the "Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional"(IPHAN). It has permanent exposition of images, silver stemware and flatware, "alfaias" (clothing), customs, and documents belonging to the old religious fraternities of the city. Free access.

| TRADITIONS AND POPULAR ART CENTER |

| Museum located inside the Fortress "Defensor Perpétuo". It has a permanent exposition of "caiçara" workmanship showing the important aspects of this people's life. |

| Located at Patitiba Quarter along with library Fabio Villaboim, has permanent exposition of artists like Di Cavalcanti and Djanira, besides regional artists. In the decade of 1990, had some Djanira's and Anita Malfati´s paintings stolen. |

| MAYOR LIBRARY FABIO VILLABOIM |

| This public library was founded in 1905, and in 1919 there were already 2109 books duly registered. This heritage is incorporated in the current mayor library. Located at Patitiba Quarter, itbhas generic books and historic documents and books about the city. |
