Passage between the Coco and Algodão Islands: never try to cross through channel formed by these islands because there is in the middle of them a slab not signalized with a one meter depth. Geographical Localization: : 23o 12,15’S / 044o 35,05’W
Meros Slab: this slab can represent a danger for the vessels with big draft which are going or coming back from Angra dos Reis. Located at Meros Island side, it has in its elevated part , 2,3 meters depth. Geographical localization: 23o 10,70’S / 044o 34,60’W |

| Passage between Catimbau Island and Continent: in the middle of this channel, nearby Catimbau Island, there is a stone with approximately two meters depth. Vessels with big draft must avoid this passage. Geographical Localization: 23o 11,70’S / 044o 37,60’W
Funda, Rasa and Perdida Slab: these slabs located in the north part of Paraty Bay are a big danger for navigation, because they are less than one meter depth and don’t have signalization.
